Yes. Ludwigia Repens is a forgiving stem plant suited to beginners. It grows fast in medium to bright light, and a little fertiliser with iron brings out the best colour.
Does Ludwigia Repens need CO₂?
No – it grows without CO₂, though CO₂ and stronger light speed it up.
Can Ludwigia Repens grow in low light?
Yes. It survives and grows in low light, but slowly. Leaves stay green-brown with red only underneath, and stems get leggy with wider gaps between leaves. For deeper red colour and bushy growth, give it medium to high light for 6–8 hours a day and a fertiliser with iron. How do I plant Ludwigia Repens?
Plant the stems in substrate 2–3 cm apart; trim and replant the cut tops to build a fuller group.
