Green Plus supplies the macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) that fuel new growth, while Trace covers the micronutrients — iron and other trace elements — that keep leaves dark green instead of pale or yellowing. Choosing between the two sizes is simply about tank volume and how long you want a bottle to last: the 100ml pair suits a single small-to-medium tank, while the 250ml pair is better value if you’re dosing a larger tank or several tanks. Dose both bottles together after your weekly water change, following the bottle directions for your tank volume. Heavier feeders like stem plants, crypts and ferns respond fastest, while low-light Anubias and mosses need only light, occasional dosing since they draw nutrients slowly. Buying tip: if you mostly keep easy, low-light plants like Anubias, start with the smaller 100ml + 100ml pair — a little goes a long way, and you can always reorder once you see how fast you’re using it.

What's the difference between the 100 ml and 250 ml sets?

Only the bottle size. Both sets contain one bottle of Green Plus and one of Trace. Pick 100 ml + 100 ml for a single small-to-medium tank, or 250 ml + 250 ml for a larger tank, several tanks, or to reorder less often.

How often should I dose Green Plus + Trace?

Once a week, ideally after your water change. Follow the bottle dosing for your tank volume. Dosing more often, or more than the bottle dose, does not make plants grow faster: nutrients they cannot use, especially under strong light, feed algae.

Do I need fertiliser if I only keep Anubias and other easy plants?

Not urgently. Anubias, ferns and mosses use nutrients slowly and often manage on fish waste alone. A small weekly dose, starting at the lower end of the bottle dose, still helps deepen leaf colour and supports their slow growth.
