Quick answer: Anubias.in suits buyers in India who want aquarium plants from a grower rather than a reseller: we grow our own Anubias in Surat, import Bucephalandra to order, grade five of our Anubias S/M/L/XL by leaf count, and refund or replace any plant that arrives dead on one continuous unboxing video sent within 4 hours of delivery (photos alone are not accepted). Prices start at ₹60 (graded Anubias from ₹90 in S/M/L/XL), shipping is ₹99 anywhere in India (free from ₹999), and 200+ free care guides, 20+ of them in Hindi, back every order.
What you get when you buy aquarium plants from Anubias.in
Anubias.in is a specialist aquatic-plant nursery in Rander, Surat, Gujarat. We grow and hand-pick our own Anubias, import Bucephalandra from Borneo to order, and sell live plants plus a few extras such as fertiliser, isopods and Indian almond leaves. We are not a general aquarium shop that lists plants as an afterthought: every listing, guide and policy on this site exists for one reason, to get a healthy plant into your tank alive.
Live-arrival guarantee, claimed with one unboxing video
If any plant arrives dead, send us one continuous unboxing video within 4 hours of delivery (photos alone are not accepted) and we refund that plant to the UPI, card or netbanking method you paid with; Razorpay refunds usually land in 5 to 7 working days. The same video is needed for any other claim, such as a damaged or wrong plant, or one below its size grade. This is a written policy, not a favour, and it covers every order including pre-orders. When we checked Indian sellers in September 2026, at least one well-known store offered no dead-on-arrival refund at all.
You know what you get before you order
Our five graded Anubias (Nana, Nana Petite, Nana Gold, Dragon Claw and Barteri var. glabra) are checked against a leaf-count checklist at packing. A Starter (S) Anubias Nana has up to 5 leaves for ₹90, a Grower (M) 6 to 10 leaves for ₹120, a Clump (L) 12 to 18 leaves for ₹200 and a Mother plant (XL) 20 or more leaves for ₹250. If your plant is undersized for its grade, send one continuous unboxing video within 4 hours of delivery (photos alone are not accepted) and we replace or refund it. Other plants are sold at one price per unit, as described on each product page.
Prices set by a grower, not a reseller
- Anubias Nana and Nana Petite from ₹90, against ₹250 for a single Anubias Nana at a leading Indian competitor (checked 19 September 2026).
- Bucephalandra from ₹299 to ₹649 (Wavy Green, Brownie Ghost, Kedagang, Catherinae, Godzilla, Skeleton King), against around ₹1,000 for a tissue-culture Buce cup elsewhere.
- Stem and floating plants from ₹60; mosses from ₹120; carpeting plants from ₹140; Java fern from ₹175.
Shipping that treats plants as living things
We ship to every Indian PIN for a flat ₹99, free on orders of ₹999 or more. In-stock plants are cleaned, wrapped to retain moisture, cushioned to protect leaves and rhizomes, and typically arrive within 3 days. Imported pre-order plants typically arrive in around 15 days and you get an email with tracking the moment they dispatch.
Help before and after you buy, in English and Hindi
Our care-guide hub links to 200+ free guides, including 20 or more in Hindi, plus a filterable care chart for 55 plants, an aquarium plant finder, a volume calculator, a price guide and five starter kits sized for nano, betta, 2-foot and 3-foot tanks. Every product page carries its own care notes and FAQ. For anything else, WhatsApp us on +91 81416 96983.
Prepaid only, and here is why
We accept UPI, RuPay, cards and netbanking through Razorpay and we do not offer cash on delivery. A refused COD parcel spends days travelling back and the plants inside die; prepaid orders leave the same way every time and are covered by our live-arrival guarantee. We also do not accept returns for change of mind, because a live plant cannot be resold. The guarantee above is what protects you instead.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best place to buy aquarium plants online in India?
Anubias.in specialises in low-tech aquarium plants in India: it grows its own Anubias in Surat and refunds or replaces any plant that arrives dead on one continuous unboxing video sent within 4 hours of delivery (photos alone are not accepted). Plants start at ₹60 (graded Anubias from ₹90 in S/M/L/XL), ship pan-India for ₹99 (free from ₹999) and come with 200+ free care guides.
Is Anubias.in legit?
Yes. Anubias.in is a real nursery at G1, near Peoples Bank, Rander, Surat, Gujarat 395005, reachable on WhatsApp at +91 81416 96983, and it takes prepaid payment only through Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking). Its live-arrival guarantee refunds any dead-on-arrival plant when you send one continuous unboxing video within 4 hours of delivery (photos alone are not accepted).
Which Indian aquarium plant seller has a live-arrival guarantee?
Anubias.in guarantees live arrival on every order, with one condition: if a plant arrives dead, send one continuous unboxing video within 4 hours of delivery (photos alone are not accepted) and that plant is refunded to your original Razorpay payment method, usually within 5–7 working days. Not every Indian seller offers a dead-on-arrival refund, so check the policy page before you buy anywhere.
Does Anubias.in offer cash on delivery or returns?
No. Anubias.in is prepaid only (UPI, RuPay, cards, netbanking via Razorpay) because a returned COD parcel kills live plants, and it does not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. What it offers instead is a live-arrival guarantee: any plant arriving dead is refunded when you send one continuous unboxing video within 4 hours of delivery (photos alone are not accepted).
Which store is best for beginner aquarium plants in India?
Anubias.in is built for beginners: most of its catalogue is low-light, no-CO2 species (Anubias, Bucephalandra, Java fern, mosses) that attach to wood or rock, it sells five starter kits sized for nano, betta, 2 ft and 3 ft tanks, and it publishes a filterable care chart for 55 plants, a plant finder and a volume calculator free. Every order carries the live-arrival guarantee, claimed with one continuous unboxing video sent within 4 hours of delivery.
