Description
Anubias Nana ‘White’ is a striking variegated Nana, its leaves marbled with creamy-white against green for a premium, eye-catching look. Variegated Anubias grow a little slower, so give them gentle light and patience — and enjoy one of the most beautiful compact plants you can keep. Attaches to wood and rock; no CO₂ needed.
What you get: one rhizome plant with about 8–12 leaves, similar to the plant held in hand in the second photo (the first photo shows a tray of our stock).

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Anubias Nana White easy to grow?
Yes. Anubias Nana White needs only low to moderate light, no CO₂ and 22–28°C, and it grows attached to wood or rock. It is slower and less forgiving than green Anubias Nana, because its pale leaf areas make less energy. Keep it in a settled tank with steady conditions and it is an easy plant.
Does Anubias Nana White need CO₂?
No. Anubias Nana White grows well with no CO₂ and only low to moderate light. Added CO₂ can speed growth a little. Brighter light mostly feeds algae on its slow leaves, so keep the light gentle.
How do I plant Anubias Nana White?
Never bury the rhizome. Attach Anubias Nana White to driftwood or rock with cotton thread or aquarium-safe super-glue gel, leaving the rhizome exposed — its roots grip the surface within a few weeks.
Is Anubias Nana White safe for shrimp and fish?
Yes, Anubias Nana White is safe for shrimp and fish in the aquarium, and it suits shrimp tanks and community tanks. Like all Anubias, its leaves and rhizome contain calcium oxalate, so keep trimmed leaves away from cats, dogs and other pets that might chew them. We recommend a gentle rinse before adding it to your tank.
Why is Anubias so expensive?
Anubias costs more than most aquarium plants because it grows very slowly. A green Anubias adds about one leaf every few weeks, so a saleable plant takes months to grow. White and variegated types like Nana White grow even slower, as pale leaf areas have little chlorophyll, and many come from small tissue-culture batches. Plain green Anubias Nana starts at ₹90.
What is the rarest Anubias?
There is no single rarest Anubias. In India, variegated cultivars such as Snow White, Marble, Panda and Stardust are the hardest to find. These plants start as occasional mutations, multiply slowly and are often grown in small tissue-culture batches, so supply stays low. Nana White is easier to find but still a slow grower. Compare Marble, Panda and Stardust in our rare and exotic Anubias range.
What is Anubias Nana Snow White?
Anubias Nana Snow White is a variegated form of Anubias barteri var. nana with leaves that are mostly white, often with light green marbling. Some sellers use ‘Nana White’ and ‘Snow White’ for the same plant. At Anubias.in they are two different plants: this Nana White has creamy-white marbling over more green and grows a little faster. Snow White stays small, with 2–4 cm leaves, and needs low to moderate light, no CO₂ and 22–28°C. Anubias Snow White is a separate plant we import to order; this Nana White is in stock and grown in Surat.
