Frequently Asked Questions
Is Anubias Nana Petite Clump easy to grow?
Yes — Anubias Nana Petite Clump is a hardy, slow-growing Anubias that thrives in low light without CO₂, making it one of the easiest aquarium plants for beginners.
Does Anubias Nana Petite Clump need CO₂?
No. Anubias Nana Petite Clump grows well with no CO₂ and only low to moderate light. Extra CO₂ and fertiliser can speed it up a little. Avoid strong light, because algae settles easily on its slow-growing leaves.
How do I plant Anubias Nana Petite Clump?
Never bury the rhizome. Attach Anubias Nana Petite Clump to driftwood or rock with cotton thread or aquarium-safe super-glue gel, leaving the rhizome exposed — its roots grip the surface within a few weeks.
Is Anubias Nana Petite Clump safe for shrimp and fish?
Yes. Anubias Nana Petite Clump is safe for shrimp and fish in the aquarium, and it suits shrimp tanks and community tanks. Like all Anubias, its leaves contain calcium oxalate, so do not let cats, dogs or other pets eat trimmed leaves. We recommend a gentle rinse before adding it to your tank.
How is Anubias Nana Petite Clump shipped across India?
It is hand-packed and sent by courier anywhere in India, with a live-arrival guarantee. If it arrives dead, send us one continuous unboxing video on WhatsApp (+91 81416 96983) within 4 hours of delivery and we refund it. Photos alone are not accepted.
What is the difference between Anubias Nana and Anubias Nana Petite?
Size is the main difference. Anubias Nana Petite is a dwarf form of Anubias barteri var. nana. Its leaves are about 1–2 cm and it usually stays under 5 cm tall. Regular Anubias Nana has leaves about 4–6 cm long and grows 5–10 cm tall. Care is the same: low to moderate light, no CO₂, 22–28°C. Petite grows even more slowly and suits nano tanks, shrimp tanks and small rocks.
How much do Anubias Nana and Nana Petite cost?
Anubias Nana costs ₹90 to ₹250 on Anubias.in, depending on size: S ₹90, M ₹120, L ₹200 and XL ₹250. Single Anubias Nana Petite plants cost the same, and bigger sizes have more leaves for instant cover. This larger clump is priced separately. Its price shows above when it is in stock. Shipping in India is ₹99, free from ₹999.
Should Anubias Nana Petite be planted in the substrate?
No, not in the usual way. Burying the rhizome (the thick green stem) can make it rot. Attach the clump to wood or rock instead, as shown in our Nana Petite care guide. If you want it on the tank floor, push only the roots into the substrate and keep the rhizome on top, or wedge it between two stones.
