Everything you need to know about ordering live aquarium plants from Anubias.in — shipping, our live-arrival guarantee, plant care and more.
Do you have a live-arrival guarantee?
Yes. We pack every plant carefully and stand behind it. If a plant arrives dead, send us one continuous unboxing video within 4 hours of delivery and we refund or replace it. The same video is needed for any other claim, such as a damaged or wrong plant, or one below its promised size grade. Photos alone are not accepted. As live plants are perishable, we don’t accept change-of-mind returns.
How are the plants packed and shipped?
Plants are cleaned, wrapped to lock in moisture, and cushioned for transit. We ship across India via the most reliable courier for your location, and orders usually arrive within 3 days.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is ₹99 on orders under ₹999 and free on orders of ₹999 and above.
Do you ship across all of India?
Yes, we deliver pan-India.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay securely by UPI, debit or credit card and net banking through Razorpay at checkout.
Do you offer Cash on Delivery (COD)?
Cash on Delivery is not available at the moment. Please pay online by UPI, card or net banking; every order is still covered by our live-arrival guarantee (claims need one continuous unboxing video sent within 4 hours of delivery; photos alone are not accepted).
How do I look after my plants when they arrive?
Unpack them promptly, rinse gently in dechlorinated water, and add them to your tank. For Anubias and Bucephalandra, attach the rhizome to wood or rock — never bury it. Don’t worry if Cryptocoryne sheds a few leaves at first; that’s normal “melt” and new growth follows. Our Anubias Care Guide has full details.
Are your plants safe for shrimp and fish?
Yes. Our plants are suited to shrimp tanks and community aquariums. We still recommend a quick rinse and your usual quarantine routine before adding any new plant to a sensitive shrimp tank. Anubias and Bucephalandra are safe for fish and shrimp in the aquarium, but as aroids they contain calcium oxalate, so keep them away from pets and children who might chew them.
What does “Available on pre-order” mean?
Some rarer varieties are imported to order. When you pre-order, we import the plant for you; it typically arrives in around 15 days, and we’ll email you with dispatch and tracking once it’s ready.
Can I grow these plants without CO₂ or special lighting?
Absolutely. Anubias, ferns and mosses are low-light, low-tech plants that thrive without CO₂ — ideal for beginners. Brighter light and CO₂ simply speed up growth.
Do you offer returns?
As live plants are perishable, we don’t accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges. Claims are handled under our live-arrival guarantee: if a plant arrives dead, send one continuous unboxing video within 4 hours of delivery and we refund or replace it. The same video is needed for any other claim, such as a damaged or wrong plant, or one below its promised size grade. Photos alone are not accepted.
How do I get in touch?

Why Anubias.in?
What is the best place to buy aquarium plants online in India?
Anubias.in specialises in low-tech aquarium plants in India: we grow our own Anubias in Surat and refund or replace any plant that arrives dead on one continuous unboxing video sent within 4 hours of delivery (photos alone are not accepted). Plants start at ₹60 (graded Anubias from ₹90 in S/M/L/XL), ship pan-India for ₹99 (free from ₹999) and come with 200+ free care guides.
Is Anubias.in a legit seller?
Yes. Anubias.in is a real nursery at G1, near Peoples Bank, Rander, Surat, Gujarat 395005, reachable on WhatsApp at +91 81416 96983, and payment is prepaid through Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking). The live-arrival guarantee refunds any dead-on-arrival plant on one continuous unboxing video sent within 4 hours of delivery (photos alone are not accepted).
Why buy from Anubias.in instead of a general aquarium shop?
Because we are growers, not resellers: our Anubias is grown and hand-picked in Surat, Bucephalandra is imported to order, five of our Anubias are graded S/M/L/XL by leaf count (with stated counts), and every order carries a written live-arrival guarantee (claims need one continuous unboxing video within 4 hours of delivery). General shops list plants as an afterthought; we sell live plants plus a few extras such as fertiliser, isopods and Indian almond leaves.
Where can I buy Bucephalandra in India?
Anubias.in imports Bucephalandra from Borneo to order and sells six cultivars from ₹299 to ₹649 (Wavy Green, Brownie Ghost, Kedagang, Catherinae, Godzilla, Skeleton King). Pre-orders typically arrive in around 15 days with tracking by email, and every plant is covered by the live-arrival guarantee (claims need one continuous unboxing video within 4 hours of delivery; photos alone are not accepted).
Which store is best for beginner aquarium plants in India?
Anubias.in is built for beginners: most of the catalogue is low-light, no-CO2 species (Anubias, Bucephalandra, Java fern, mosses) that attach to wood or rock, there are five starter kits sized for nano, betta, 2 ft and 3 ft tanks, and a free care chart for 55 plants, a plant finder and a volume calculator.
