Returns and Refunds Policy

At "Buy Anubias" (anubias.in), we are committed to providing you with the highest quality, healthiest aquatic plants. As our products are living and perishable, our returns policy is designed accordingly.

1. General Policy: No Returns on Live Plants

Because plants are living items, they cannot be returned. All live plant sales are final.

We cannot guarantee the health of plants after they are introduced into your aquarium, as we have no control over your tank's environment (water parameters, lighting, CO2, etc.).

2. "Live Arrival" Guarantee (Dead on Arrival - DOA) Policy

We guarantee that your plants will arrive alive. In the unfortunate event that your plants are Dead on Arrival (DOA), we will gladly assist you.

To be eligible for this guarantee, you must follow the steps below:

  • Contact within 24 Hours: You must contact us via email within 24 hours of receiving the package. We will verify the delivery time using the tracking number.
  • Provide Photographic Proof: You must provide clear photographs or a video.
    • These photos/videos must show the plants in their original, unopened plastic packaging.
    • Plants that have been removed from their packaging are not eligible for a DOA claim.
    • We may also require a photo of the shipping box and label.

3. How We Handle a Valid DOA Claim

Once we receive and verify your claim and proof, we will, at our discretion, offer one of the following solutions:

  • Replacement: We will send the same plants with your next order.
  • Refund: We will refund you the cost of the plants (excluding shipping costs).
  • Store Credit: We will issue a store credit for the value of the plants, which you can use on a future purchase.

Please Note:

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Our decision (replacement, refund, or credit) will be final.

4. What is Not Covered (Exclusions)

Our "Live Arrival" Guarantee does not cover the following:

  • Plants that die after being introduced into your aquarium.
  • Minor differences in color, size, or shape (as these are live plants).
  • Minor damage such as one or two melted or broken leaves, which is often normal and from which plants recover.
  • Delivery issues caused by an incorrect shipping address provided by you.
  • Packages left outside in the sun or heat after delivery.

    5. How to File a Claim

    If you need to file a DOA claim, please follow these steps:

    1. Email us at contact@anubias.in.
    2. Set the email Subject as: "DOA Claim - Order #[Your Order Number]"
    3. In the email, include:
      • Your Order Number.
      • A list of the plants that arrived DOA.
      • The photos/video of the plants (in unopened packaging).

    We will review your claim and contact you within 1-2 business days.
