Anubias Nana Gold is a selectively bred cultivar of Anubias barteri var. nana, known for its striking golden-green leaves. This unique coloration remains stable under a wide range of conditions, giving aquascapes a lively pop of brightness.
Like all Anubias varieties, Nana Gold is extremely hardy, resistant to most common aquarium challenges, and grows slowly from a thick rhizome. It is best attached to rocks, driftwood, or other hardscape elements. Because its leaves are tough, they are less likely to be eaten by herbivorous fish.
Care Requirements:
Lighting: Low–medium (higher light enhances coloration but monitor algae)
Temperature: 22–28 °C
pH: 6.0–7.5
COâ‚‚: Optional, helps leaf growth
Propagation: Rhizome division
The golden glow of Anubias Nana Gold makes it an ideal accent plant in foreground or midground placements. Its contrast adds depth and vibrancy to natural layouts.
